Getting Fired for the Glory of God

Cracking this one open tonight:

{update}

I deleted this post and a few of the comments because it was turning into a witch hunt. There are plenty of places to gripe and gossip on the internet, but I'd rather not have it take place here on my blog. I received some great advice and encouragement- but a couple of the comments frustrated me so I did some erasing. I'm at peace with the situation I originally wrote about- trusting that God is plenty capable of shining light where it needs to shine.

preach brother preach. It's hard to speak truth, but man can you recognize the righteousness in honest thoughts. Wow. Do I smell a book in the making?

If some sucker of a publisher ever glues a book together for me I'll donate every penny of the profit to World Relief. There's my word. I'll probably end up owing somebody money if I try to write a book!

I don't need a book if Mingo is reading my blog.

You will never regret taking the high road! You can always say more, but you can never take back what you've said.

Ryan, Frank Norton here. Scripture calls us to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. That being the case, I believe information should be disseminated on a 'need to know' basis only. And, only in instances where the knowledge would do good for the cause of Christ.

Thanks for the fine job you are doing at Calvary!

Great advice everybody :)

Frank, I definitely agree with you. I've been praying for that wisdom--- and the toughest part has been deciding who is in the "need to know" category. I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

I say post a blog about your experience, including all details and names of individuals involved. Then let God decide who 'needs to know' by who he leads to your blog to read it! If you don't post about it, you'll be denying God the ability to use your story for the betterment of the church.

(is there a font for sarcasm?)

"If possible, so far as depends on you, live peaceably with all men."

"Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm; the Lord will repay him according to his deeds."

From our mutual friend Paul.

My God is big enough to take care of your church's congregation.

Check out Luke 10:10-12, 16.
